Is your service free?
Yes, our service is free. You can receive a free online quote or call us for a free consultation. We do not collect any fees. Once your policy is in effect, you will be responsible for a monthly premium that is paid directly to the insurance carrier. The broker is paid by the insurance carrier for our services.
Why would I use a broker?
A broker can help you decide which plan and health insurance company will fit you needs. North Atlanta Insurance Group is an expert on what types of plans are offered and also knows the differences in the health insurance companies.
Do I receive a better price by purchasing directly from the health insurance carrier?
No. By law, a broker must quote you the same rate that you would receive from the insurance company itself. The insurance company will want to sell you their policy; a broker represents many companies and can help you find the best plan.
When can coverage start?
Coverage generally starts after the application has been submitted and approved by the health insurance’s underwriting department. It is dependent on how long the policy takes to get through the underwriting process and the date the insurance company issues plans.
How do I decide which plan is best for me?
There are so many plans offered that it is hard for most people to understand which plan is best. A broker will work for you and help you decide which plan best fits yourself, family, or small business.
Do I have to give personal information to receive a quote?
No. Only general information is required to receive a quote. It is wise to talk with a broker if you have questions concerning your health history. Your personal information will be held in strict confidence.
Can I get insurance for my child only?
Yes, you can receive a child only policy. When you are filling out the information for a quote simply put the child’s information under the “applicant” information.
Can I get short term insurance?

What does HMO, POS, and PPO mean?

HMO or Health Maintenance Organization

POS or Point of Service Plan is similar to an HMO, but gives you more flexibility. It will provide both in network and out of network benefits. In network, the plan works like a HMO. If you choose to see a doctor out side the network it will provide a predetermined benefit amount.

PPO or Preferred Provider Organization provides you benefits in network and out of network. It generally will give you the most flexibility in choosing a doctor. Normally, you do not have a ‘gatekeeper’ or primary care physician.
